Nursing Supervisor – Portage/Waupun/Fond du Lac
The Department of Corrections is currently seeking Nursing Supervisors for Columbia Correctional Institution (Portage), the Dodge Correctional Institution Infirmary (Waupun) and Taycheedah Correctional Institution (Fond du Lac). Starting salary for Columbia is at least $83,000 annually (depending on qualifications) and the starting salary for the Infirmary and Taycheedah is at least $91,872 annually (depending on qualifications). All also include an excellent benefits package. Well qualified applicants will have considerable nursing experience in a correctional setting and/or supervisory experience in a health care setting. Duties include management of health services to offenders, supervise health care staff, and assume responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical programs to advance patient care and nursing practice. Must have registration or eligibility for registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin.

Job Description
Under the general direction of the Coding Coordinator and in accordance with the coding guidelines established by the UW Medical Foundation, the Medical Coding Specialist is responsible for review of medical records, notes, dictation and other related documentation to ensure the accurate and timely submission of charges for professional services provided by physicians and other providers. The Medical Coding Specialist resolves coding issues identified in the Epic charge review work queues. The Medical Coding Specialist may perform research on inquiries from physicians or other staff members as required.

Responsibilities: Conduct physician-prescribed treatments of a routine nature Perform chest physical therapy treatments which involve percussion, postural drainage or suctioning; perform airway management including trach tube changes, Passy-Muir Valve monitoring, and intubation or extubation; set up, operate and monitor ventilators Record resident treatment, education and response to care Submit accurate billing and documentation in accordance with RT protocol, Kindred policy and state/federal regulations Conduct in-servicing and competency testing of nursing staff Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws Respiratory Therapy Respiratory Care Respiratory Therapist RT
