Overview

SCA Tissue North America is currently seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to join our team at our Service Excellence Center (SEC) in Neenah, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering & Manitenance, the Project Manager/Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement changes to paper mill operations, production and quality capability by developing scope, estimating costs, designing, constructing, purchasing and installing or modifying existing equipment.  Additional important responsibilities are listed below.

Main Tasks

 
May be responsible for Project Management of major capital projects within SCA North America. During major projects, may act as a team leader and functionally supervise project team members.
Supports manufacturing and maintenance activities with expertise and leadership in solving and improving the processes and procedures in the mill.
Knowledge in discipline is a must, but also must handle a number of projects concurrently and be capable of quickly grasping applications as they apply to plant functions.
Coordinates and conducts feasibility study of project requests and provides assistance on business case analysis and project plan estimation for category management.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Plans, budgets and tracks and reports progress for assigned projects.
Coordinates and tracks key inputs from procurement, quality and supply chain, sales, manufacturing, category and external vendors to ensure effective schedule and cost management.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Will travel as needed (estimated up to 50%) for SCA site, vendor, and customer visits. Some international travel may be required.  Activities are subject to general management 
Regularly negotiates with or influences directors/managers or superintendents, supervisors, employees and vendors or contractors.
Occasionally exchanges information with SCA officers, government regulatory agencies, other organizations, professional associations, job applicants and union representatives.

Key Competencies


 BS degree in engineering, physical sciences, or program/project management.
12-15 years of project management/project engineering. Tissue experience preferred. PE preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and communications such as advising, recommending, or counseling, directing or delegating, exchanging information, negotiating, selling, persuading or influencing.
Advanced level of knowledge is needed in process design engineering. 
Strong working knowledge in computer aided design, electrical/instrumentation design,equipment maintenance, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, project management, applications software usage, purchasing, tissue manufacturing operation, records management, safety, skills training and statistical analysis.

Responsible for technically supporting medical injection molding operations. This person analyzes and troubleshoots molding process and making the necessary process adjustments within the validated molding process and company’s quality standards.

Responsibilities

Ø Set-up injection molding presses, molds, and automation processes
Ø Use strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot mold machines, auxiliary equipment, and processes
Ø Reconfigure molds on presses
Ø Minimize equipment downtime
Ø Identify defects and make adjustments
Ø Follow written and verbal instructions; manage workload and schedules to complete assignments
Ø Support production schedules; perform quick mold changes
Ø Oversee startup of manufacturing jobs and materials changeovers
Ø Oversee completion of work orders

Requirements

Ø 3-5 years solid, hands-on experience as an Injection Mold / Cycle Technician
Ø 3 or more years experience in medical injection molding / medical device industry
Ø Clean room injection molding experience
Ø Experience with Nissei and Krause Maffei molding machines a plus
Ø Process validation and IQMS experience highly desired
Ø Two shot molding a strong plus
Ø Strong problem solving skills
Ø Solid verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities of Laser Applications Technician I

Program and operate equipment in Contract Manufacturing Services. Specific responsibilities are as follows:


Set-up beam delivery, laser and tooling.
Write and/or debug programs using CNC programming or Preco specific software.
Direct production labor upon completion of equipment setup/validation.
Operate laser machinery to process materials/parts to meet customer specifications.
Initiate and perform “best practice” efforts.
Document changes to existing jobs (parameters, tooling, etc.) for future production runs.
Perform test studies, documenting parameters, tooling and any additional information as required.
Follow and create work instructions, as required.
Perform necessary preventive maintenance, as directed.
Complete required paperwork.
Various other duties as directed by Supervisor.

This manufacturer is looking for an individual to direct Cheese Converting operational strategies supported through one of its high performance facilities located in Wisconsin. Key leadership responsibilities will include execution of objective programs to produce safe, efficient and effective performance for shift Converting employees. Additional key duties will be geared toward meeting existing Converting volumes as well as developing critical sanitation, safety and Lean Manufacturing process improvements. Other responsibilities will be centered on leadership programs to develop and manage employee relations as well execute effective training procedures. Also, emphasis will be given to advance production schedules, raw materials movement, process optimization and flow. Special duties will include collaboration with Converting Manager and Maintenance Team to minimize down time and maximize production.
