Overview
SCA Tissue North America is currently seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to join our team at our Service Excellence Center (SEC) in Neenah, Wisconsin. Reporting to the Vice President of Engineering & Manitenance, the Project Manager/Engineer will be responsible for providing advanced engineering expertise to solve problems and implement changes to paper mill operations, production and quality capability by developing scope, estimating costs, designing, constructing, purchasing and installing or modifying existing equipment. Additional important responsibilities are listed below.
Main Tasks
May be responsible for Project Management of major capital projects within SCA North America. During major projects, may act as a team leader and functionally supervise project team members.
Supports manufacturing and maintenance activities with expertise and leadership in solving and improving the processes and procedures in the mill.
Knowledge in discipline is a must, but also must handle a number of projects concurrently and be capable of quickly grasping applications as they apply to plant functions.
Coordinates and conducts feasibility study of project requests and provides assistance on business case analysis and project plan estimation for category management.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Plans, budgets and tracks and reports progress for assigned projects.
Coordinates and tracks key inputs from procurement, quality and supply chain, sales, manufacturing, category and external vendors to ensure effective schedule and cost management.
Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Will travel as needed (estimated up to 50%) for SCA site, vendor, and customer visits. Some international travel may be required. Activities are subject to general management
Regularly negotiates with or influences directors/managers or superintendents, supervisors, employees and vendors or contractors.

Key Competencies
BS degree in engineering, physical sciences, or program/project management.
12-15 years of project management/project engineering. Tissue experience preferred. PE preferred.

Advanced level of knowledge is needed in process design engineering.
Strong working knowledge in computer aided design, electrical/instrumentation design,equipment maintenance, mechanical engineering, plant engineering, project management, applications software usage, purchasing, tissue manufacturing operation, records management, safety, skills training and statistical analysis.
