Job Summary
 
Support the creative director in maintaining quality and brand standards. Responsible for directing all phases of creative work from concept- development through production. Knowledge of print, video creation, web and social media required.
 
The following expectations serve as measurable target areas for the Assistant Art Director:
 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
 

Assists with overseeing the creative strategies, technical endeavors and artistic design/illustration
Translate corporate strategic plan and integrated marketing plan into strategic vision and direction for retail.
Direct development of new processes and improve existing processes to support efficient workflow, improved communication, accurate budgeting and timely planning input.
Resource planning, creative staff coaching.
Establish cost-saving initiatives.
Distinguish Rayovac and its products as the leader in our field.
Cultivate a corporate atmosphere grounded in the mission, vision and values of Spectrum Brands.
Evaluate and approve creative concepts for product launches and redesigns
Ensure all creative execution supports brand standards.
Inform and help manage annual expense budget and project level budgets.
Establish project level budget averages to better inform annual budget planning and improve budget efficiencies.
Develop, implement, and maintain a departmental budget that supports and contributes to the goals of Spectrum Brands.
Perform annual performance evaluations for direct reports and provide input to dotted line report evaluations.
